CAMP LEJUENE CLAIMS
The government has confirmed that two on-base water wells at Camp Lejune and MCAS New River were shut down in 1985 after discovering that it contained Trichloroethylene (TCE), Perchloroethylene (PCE), Benzene, Vinyl chloride and other known toxic chemicals.
Congress recently passed the Camp Lejeune Justice Act of 2022 (CLJA). This new law will allow victims to bring civil claims that were previously barred by the statute of limitations (in addition to any previous disability claims).
All Veterans and family members who were stationed at Camp Lejeune or MCAS New River for at least 30 cumulative days from August 1953 through December 1987 are now entitled to civil damages if they developed any of the following diseases/conditions:
- Bladder cancer
- Breast cancer
- Esophageal cancer
- Female infertility
- Hepatic steatosis
- Kidney cancer
- Leukemia
- Lung cancer
- Miscarriage
- Multiple myeloma
- Myelodysplastic syndromes
- Neurobehavioral effects
- Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma
- Renal toxicity
- Scleroderma
The Martin Law Firm is actively pursuing these claims on behalf of Veterans and their families.
